Marion County, Georgia Family’s Car Culture Causes Damage to Fouche and Doyle Roads, Should Taxpayers Pay to Fix Them?

Julia Pierce | August 9, 2026

A Marion County citizen had been reading my recent publications about the county roads, specifically Fouche Road, and then by way of the events in question, Doyle Road.

This local citizen sent me three Tiktok videos uploaded at the beginning of 2026 by Brent Waller, the son of Clifford Waller. All three videos showed Brent and Clifford participating in a burnout, a two-truck tug of war, and a drag race. The burnout took place on Fouche Road in the vicinity of Clifford Waller’s home on Fouche Rd. The two-truck tug of war and the drag race took place on Doyle Road.

When this citizen sent these videos, the concern was discussed as why this family is able to do damage to the roads that we are required to pay for and have paid for repairs. Additionally, the concern was why was this family able to violate the law by drag racing on a public road (O.C.G.A. 40-6-186), drag racing with reckless disregard for the safety of others (O.C.G.A. 40-6-390.1), and criminal damage to property (O.C.G.A. 16-7-22).

If a former District Attorney of the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, Mark Jones, was indicated for criminal damage to property in the first degree, when he participated in a rap get out and vote video that included donuts and skid marks left on the Civic Center parking lot, what makes this family exempt from being accountable for breaking the same law that Mr. Jones did?

After looking into the Marion County Tax Assessor’s database, I noticed that the Wallers own a lot of land on Doyle and Fouche Roads, yet these roads are not marked as private drives. They are county roads, which means that taxpayer money is required, along with grants as they are available to Marion County, to make repairs; however, in the case that Marion County has not had the money for road repairs, could a new proposal be to require the Wallers to repair the part of the roads that they have damaged?

When I drove down Fouche Road from Blackshear Bridge toward Doyle Road, I noticed several tire marks in the road and I wondered if these were also from this family.

Where is the accountability? I was raised that if we damaged something, we were required to replace it or do what is necessary to fix it, and that was a hard lesson we learned so that we didn’t repeat the behavior.

My question is why hasn’t this family built their own drag racing track or arena if they have so much land and with that also wealth? Are they willing to pay for their portion of the road where their car culture activities have taken place?

What are your thoughts?
