On May 10, 2026, I released a publication that indicated a federal indictment had been returned by a grand jury for knowingly possessing a firearm by a convicted felon regarding Cole Jernigan, a Marion County citizen, and the nephew of the county attorney, Wayne Jernigan.

Within an hour of publication, I received multiple calls from Mr. Jernigan on my facebook messenger

I also received two calls on my business line in which Mr. Jernigan attempted to bribe me stating, “I’ll give you money, whatever we need to do” and I’ll bring you cash money or whatever I need to do.”

I did not call him back and I did not take down the publication because this county citizens deserve to know what is going on in this county. It was apparent that there were many citizens that didn’t even know that Mr. Jernigan was a convicted felon, of which we do not know why. I chose to let a sleeping dog lie and I chose to keep the post up.

Almost two and a half months later, on July 31, 2026, I received a message from Misha Jernigan, Cole’s wife. She indicated that she wanted me to take down the publication I made in May, indicated that her son has to live in this community, indicated that the GBI has had it out for Cole since his “famous arrest back in the 80s.” She then accused me of slandering Cole Jernigan, which I am unsure why me reporting on what was exactly in the indictment said constitutes to her as slander, but then she indicates that she will “fight this matter if [she has] to.” She also indicated that the guns that were found belonged to their son and was given to him by his granddaddy.

I responded to Mrs. Jernigan that I was happy to research Cole’s case if she thought Cole was framed by the GBI, that those who were making life hard for Cole’s son were small minded, and that I don’t take kindly to bribes or threats. I also indicated that if he was framed by the GBI, because I inferred her statement that the GBI has had it out for him and that she alleges the charges against him were fraudulent, that I would be willing to help him research that to prove his innocence and would correct any misreporting on my part after finding that the findings presented in the indictment were wrong.

That being said, I do not condone anyone making life unbearable for anyone just because they are connected to an individual who has been alleged to participate in any wrongdoing or who has been convicted of any wrongdoing, whether it’s wife, husband, parents, aunts, uncles, or children. I am a firm believer that people should be judged by their own actions, and anyone who chooses to make life hell for someone else because of what their loved one has done is small-minded.

So let me preface, in this post, I am exposing what Mr. AND Mrs. Jernigan have done. Therefore, anyone who has caused harm or discomfort to anyone else related to them because of what THEY have done, should stop immediately.

Mrs. Jernigan not only accused me of slander, but she further accused me of reporting on Cole’s indictment as “retaliation,” yet I indicated that I reported on his indictment because the public needs to know. I indicated that I believe that Cole is a villain in the community and that I was researching the allegations that citizens have brought forth, some of which I won’t mention here because I don’t have evidence as of yet, and that his slander of me and his attempt to bribe me substantiated my beliefs. I’m not sure how using a person’s behavior to make a statement about my belief constitutes retaliation, but let me say this loud and clear.

It is apparent that there are several people in this county that want to allege that I have slandered them or have attempted to defame them. I use court documents, people’s own words, and open records documents to communicate my findings, therefore, I interpret these accusations and threats of slander and litigation as intimidation because they don’t like the exposure. Let me remind you that for anyone who may be considering suing me for defamation or is in conspiracy to sue me for defamation for using your own words and documents against you, you as the plaintiff bear the burden of proving what I have stated is false, and I’m sure you can’t because I only said what you gave me or was given to me.

To all of this I say, if you didn’t like your wrong doing being brought into the light, you should have done what is right in the dark.
