Election Numbers Incorrectly Reported for Christopher Breault’s Mayoral Race

It is no secret that I have expressed major trust issues over the years pertaining to the Muscogee County Elections, but that has just recently changed.

Nancy Boren, the wife of former police chief, Ricky Boren, and Muscogee County’s Election Supervisor, and I have had some difficult conflicts pertaining to my distrust of her election conduct since 2018, when I assisted Charlie Roberts in his mayoral campaign.

I bring this up only to show growth in our interchanges, my desire to understand our elections, and Nancy’s desire to educate me. Distrust is quelled through transparency.

On May 19, 2026, I logged onto WTVM’s website for Election Night results, as it was the only one that kept coming up in my Google Search for Election Night numbers. I didn’t see a link for WRBL; I didn’t see a link for CNAW; I didn’t see a link for any other media who would be reporting live, so I chose WTVM.

I waited from 6:45 PM until I saw the first numbers pop up, and to my surprise, I saw that Christopher Breault was in the lead with 19,170 votes. I should have taken a screenshot then to capture it, but I didn’t think to do so. Thankfully, a concerned citizen, Heather Lloyd Smith, took a screen shot of it.

That being said, about twenty minutes or so later, I noticed that Christopher Breault’s numbers were the only numbers to change. His 19,170 votes went to 1,917 votes, indicating that the last zero was removed.

I was under the impression that these were real time reported numbers, and I didn’t understand why they would have changed so drastically, if they came from an elections system; however, after corresponding with Nancy Boren, I found out that she sends an “Election Summary Report” to her media contact list by email with those numbers periodically. We will learn about that momentarily.

Nancy Boren’s Response

On May 24, 2026, I co-hosted with Mark LaJoye, on The Mark LaJoye Show, where we discussed a multitude of post-election topics, where one of those topics was the anomaly with Christopher Breault’s numbers.

Around 9:30 PM, I received an email from Nancy. She indicated that the error was on WTVM’s part and that she was willing to send me the email with the document that she sent to all of her media contacts, and I indicated that I would be happy to see it.

She sent me three reports that she said were “releases.” One report was printed off at 7:09 PM and sent at 7:20 PM, which reported all of the Advance and Absentee by Mail numbers. I looked at the report and as Mrs. Boren stated, the number for Mr. Breault was in fact 1,917.

She also sent me the other two “releases,” which were reports printed off at 8:50 PM and sent at 9:07 PM, and printed off at 9:52 PM and sent at 10:09 PM, respectively.

While I had these reports, I looked at all the numbers on the reports and calculated many of them for myself to ensure they were right and I reviewed the times she sent these reports to the media.

After reviewing all of this information, even though I had some further questions so that I would be able to understand – some of which are being researched by Mrs. Boren with her word to get back with me when she finds the answer – I am convinced that Mrs. Boren is not to blame for the wrong numbers.

I would like to make mention here that Nancy and I had several email conversations yesterday – which was a holiday and she did not have a requirement to respond – and she was all too helpful and quick to respond. That shows me that she was willing to go above and beyond to foster the transparency and fix the problem quickly.

This helped me greatly, because I have distrusted her role as the Elections Supervisor due to many things that I have brought up and questioned, but something has indeed changed with Mrs. Boren and I. Nancy has been very helpful and has been respectful in her interactions with me. She has been very transparent in my search for transparency, and I can say that at this moment, my trust is growing in her abilities, and my distrust is subsiding when it comes to Nancy’s role in supervising and conducting the Muscogee County elections.

WTVM’s Response

Moving on from my initial thought that Nancy and her election were the problem, I now turned my attention to the contact for WTVM that may or may not have been responsible for the mishap. I sent an email to Dylan Seymore on May 26, 2026 at 9:14 A.M., whereby I inquired,

Would you mind letting me know who would have been responsible for uploading that information on election night for WTVM viewers? Also, can you confirm that this was an error on WTVM ‘s part?

I have not heard back from him, but I also understand that yesterday was a holiday; therefore, I hope to hear back from him within the next day or two.

I am curious if WTVM had or has any intention of owning up to the mishap, if they are in fact responsible, that caused many of us to have a lapse in trust. I think it is important to correct this so that those citizens who may be like me and have a distrust in the Muscogee County Election, Georgia Elections, Dominion, etc., can be put at ease. It is not helpful to cause a people to stumble and place blame or build distrust in the one who runs our election or the process itself, if it’s a simple typo when uploading the data by a news media company, that can be resolved immediately or even after it comes to their attention.

Wrapping Up

In close, I am grateful to Nancy Boren for her quickness to correct me, as I am not someone who is okay with disseminating false information, especially after I know it’s false. I am also grateful for her transparency, for her candor, and for her respect.
